  • Collaboration Period: 2021-Present
  • Client Requirement: The magnetic shielding assembly for the hard X-ray free-electron laser (FEL) device operates in a cryogenic environment with liquid helium. The client sought magnetic shielding materials that maintain high initial and maximum relative permeability at liquid helium temperatures. Additionally, they required the residual magnetic field inside the cavity to be controlled at an extremely low level (within 5 mGs) after the installation of the magnetic shielding assembly.
  • Our Solution: NGYC is equipped with a range of production and testing equipment, including laser cutting machines, coil winding machines, bending machines, large hydrogen annealing furnaces, soft magnetic DC magnetic property testers, and three-axis fluxgate magnetometers. With these resources, we provide comprehensive technical support to our customers, including magnetic shielding material selection, precision machining, hydrogen annealing heat treatment, magnetic property testing, assembly, and residual magnetic field testing. We have successfully delivered multiple sets of magnetic shielding assemblies, and after installation and testing by the client, they have demonstrated excellent shielding performance against the Earth's magnetic field with low residual magnetic fields.
