      Introduction

      • Ceramic Wool
      • Rock Wool

With the features of thermal and acoustic insulation, the marine insulation is commonly applied to bulkheads and decks of all kinds of ships and offshore platforms. There are two types available for you, namely rock wool insulation and ceramic wool.

Generally, the rock wool is ideal for thermal insulation layer and fireproof partitions. As per customer's need, we could cover marine insulating material with aluminum foil and fiberglass cloth. A60 fire rated rock wool is certified by China Classification Society.

A marine ceramic wool carpet is an insulation carpet which is inorganic, soft, and high temperature resistant. It possesses the stable chemical performance and conforms to the IMO-A799 (19). This insulation carpet could be covered with aluminum foil and fiberglass cloth upon request. Certificates are available from Classification Societies such as CSS, ABS, DNV, BV, EC, etc. Compared with rock wool, ceramic wool has lighter weight, and is easier to cut and install. It helps improve the sailing speed while saving fuel.

After receiving your layout of cabin insulation, we will estimate the needed quantity of the suitable marine insulation and spare parts. Then we will provide you with a list of materials for your final confirmation.
