In ships, fuel and lubrication oil are transferred from the main oil tank to the engine by the pump. Filters are essential for protecting the oil pump and hydraulic components during oil transferring. Also, it’s necessary to install a duplex filter ahead of the engine to prevent the intrusion of contaminants.
Cavitation corrosion often happens to the hydraulic system of ships. Therefore, all hydraulic components must have excellent resistance against cavitation corrosion. In addition to that, hydraulic filters and parts in ships shall be resistant against salt spray.
