The GCS low-voltage switchgear cabinet was jointly developed by the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Machinery. Today, it is a widely recognized piece of equipment in China and internationally.

According to the power industry ministry standards and user requests, the GCS low voltage switchgear cabinet was developed to increase capacity, provide centralized power control, add convenience in installation and maintenance, and minimize processing failures. The cabinet is designed for maximized safety and reliability and minimized cost. The advantages of the equipment include reliable breaking and connecting capacity, good dynamic and thermal stability, flexible electrical schematics, and a high level of protection against failure.

Application

The GCS low-voltage switchgear cabinet is suitable for power plants, industrial, and high-rise building low-voltage distribution systems.

In places such as large-scale power plants and petrochemical systems, which are highly automated and require a computer interface, the device works as low voltage power distribution equipment which is used for power supply/distribution systems, generator centralized control and reactive power compensation of which the three-phase AC frequency is 50Hz, rated voltage is 380V, and rated current is below 4000A.

Features
Flexible Frame Assembly: The frame adopts 8MF type open-profile steel, with mounting holes featuring a modulus of E=20mm and 100mm with a diameter of 9.2mm on the main frame, allowing for flexible and convenient assembly.
Compartmentalized Design: The functional compartments of the switchgear are isolated from each other, divided into functional unit compartments, a busbar compartment, and a cable compartment, with each compartment serving a relatively independent role.
Enhanced Busbar Strength: The horizontal busbar adopts a rear-mounted flat arrangement to enhance its ability to withstand electrodynamic forces, which is a fundamental measure to ensure the main circuit has a high short-circuit strength capacity.
Convenient Cable Access: The design of the cable compartment makes it very convenient for cables to enter and exit from both the top and bottom.
Modular Drawer Design: The height modulus of the drawers is 160mm. Changes in drawer configurations only involve height variations, while the width and depth dimensions remain constant, providing good interchangeability for drawers of the same functional unit. The rated current of the unit circuit is 630A and below.
Clear Drawer Status: Drawer panels have clear markings indicating positions such as "open," "closed," "test," and "withdrawn." Drawer units are equipped with mechanical interlock devices. The drawer unit serves as the main body and can be used in both withdrawable and fixed configurations, allowing for mixed and arbitrary combinations.
