Rooftop antenna tower mounted on top of buildings for telecommunication and 5G network applications, available in height options from 5 to 35 meters

A roof-top communication tower, also known as a roof-mounted mast or rooftop tower, is a communication support structure installed on top of buildings to carry 5G antennas, signal transmitters, and other telecom equipment. Using the existing height of the building allows rooftop towers to extend signal coverage across dense urban areas without occupying additional ground space. In city centers where there is hardly any free space, rooftop towers make it possible to deploy or upgrade mobile networks without needing new land.

  • Design Standard ANSI/TIA-222-G/H/F, EN 1991-1-4 & EN 1993-3-1
  • Height Range 5–35 m, customizable according to project requirements
  • Design Wind Speed Up to 300 km/h, depending on design requirements
  • Surface Treatment Hot-dip galvanized; Painting
Common Types of Roof-Top Communication Towers
  • Roof-Mounted Poles (Rooftop Masts)
Monopole-type structures are used mainly for 5G rooftop installations. The height is usually set between 3 and 15 meters, based on the building conditions and the antenna requirements.
  • Monopole Towers / Angular Steel Towers
Suitable for high-rise buildings where greater structural strength is required. Their height usually falls between 6 and 20 meters.
  • Architectural or Decorative Towers
Made mainly from stainless steel, these telecom towers are commonly used on commercial and office buildings. They combine functional antenna support with an appearance designed to match the surrounding architecture.

Typical Installation Environments
Rooftop towers are usually placed on residential and commercial buildings with reinforced concrete roofs, which offer the structural strength needed to support antennas and feeder lines. They are suitable for multi-operator deployments and, in some cases, can also be used for traffic monitoring systems or satellite signal reception.

Features
  • By making use of the building’s existing height, rooftop towers help extend signal coverage while avoiding the cost and land requirements of building a separate ground tower.
  • Compared with ground-mounted towers, rooftop installations blend more easily into the city skyline and create less visual impact on the surrounding area.
  • Since the tower is supported by the existing building structure, equipment installation, inspection, and daily maintenance are more convenient to carry out.
Project Application Examples
Manufacturing Process

Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is used to shape the steel components through focused beam cutting and assisted gas removal. The process offers fast cutting speed and high dimensional accuracy (up to ±0.05 mm), while keeping heat impact to a minimum. This reduces the risk of deformation and results in clean, well-defined edges.

CNC Punching and Shearing
Steel angles are processed through CNC-controlled punching and shearing lines. Automatic feeding, positioning, punching, and cutting are all integrated into the process, keeping production running smoothly and efficiently. Precise CNC positioning keeps quality consistent, even when working with more complex parts.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing and Surface Protection
The tower is protected with hot-dip galvanizing as the main anti-corrosion treatment, along with an extra plastic coating for added protection. The zinc layer protects the steel from rust and adds strength, while the coating gives extra insulation and surface protection. This combined treatment allows the tower to maintain reliable performance for over 20 years and adapt well to harsh environments such as high and low temperatures, coastal areas, and mountainous regions.
