A thermal expansion tank is installed on the outlet side of the water heating systems, which is used to accommodate fluctuations in the water volume of a hot water supply system. These fluctuations occur because water expands in volume as it gets hot and loses volume as it cools. In order to maintain the constant temperature of the water delivered from a water heating system, it's highly recommended for using a water heater expansion tank with high quality.
