ADSS Armored Fiber Optic Cable
Description
The ADSS armored fiber optic cable is an all-dielectric and self-supporting stranded fiber optic cable. It features an aramid sheath to improve the tensile strength and is primarily used building the communication line of high voltage transmission systems on stilts. It can also be used in the aerial laying of communication line for harsh environments. The bandwidth of this fiber optic cable can achieve 1000Mhz.Km while it is at the wavelength of 1300nm.
Standard
The structure of the ADSS armored fiber optic cable combines a fiber optic with a radius of 250μm inside the loose tube, which itself is made of high modulus materials. The loose tube is filled with a waterproof compound, and it will strand FRP to form a compact and round cable core. A waterproof filler is added to the gap, and the cable core is then sheathed in a PE inner sheath. The fiber cable is then stranded with an aramid yarn for additional strength. The fiber cable is then sheathed with either PE or AT as an outer sheath.

Features
The ADSS armored fiber optic cable can be installed with the power off, and features an AT sheath with an excellent electrical tracking resistance. It is light weight and has a small diameter, reducing the risk of icicles and cold weather breakage. The fiber optic cable also features a large span over 1,000 meters. It offers a great tensile performance and temperature resistance, with an expected service life of more than 30 years.
