Our white fused alumina (0-1mm, 1-3mm and 3-5mm) is primarily used for metal smelting, particularly aluminum and steel smelting. Electric arc furnaces for steel smelting require refractory materials that have a high refractoriness, refractoriness under loads, thermal stability, high slag resistance, crushing strength, and a low thermal conductivity. These furnaces must also pose no risk of explosion, efflorescence, cracks and more. Compared to traditional corundum, it has a higher cost performance, and helps promote the hardness, density and self-sharpening of steel. As a kind of abrasive material, the white corundum can also be used for making abrasive tools to grind high carbon copper.
