What Is Vacuum Forming?

Vacuum forming is a cost-effective plastic manufacturing process that produces highly detailed finished products. Investing in a mold for this process requires less capital than other plastic molding or forming processes, and time to market is drastically reduced.

How Does Vacuum Forming Work?

We offer custom-made solutions to various industries with our specialized vacuum forming technology. Each product created using our process is completed in a matter of seconds, and with multiple machines in place, we can produce hundreds of vacuum forming products hourly. Examples of our industry partners include automotive, electronics, medical equipment and consumer product providers.

  • Cutting plastic sheets to a required dimension.
  • The cut plastic sheet is then heated until it becomes soft and pliable
  • Using a vacuum to create pressure difference, which forces the softened plastic sheet to be drawn tightly against the surface of the mold, conforming to its shape.
  • After the plastic sheet has conformed to the mold's shape, it is left to cool and solidify.
