The heap leaching-carbon adsorption recycling system is a great option for low-grade ore or tailings, as it is likely to reduce the costs associated with investment and production.

Crushed ore or tailings, to a specific particle size, are heaped up on an anti-seepage geomembrane to form a pile and sprayed with multiple nozzles at its top. If the ore or tailings have high clay content or are not very permeable to water, they must be mixed or blended with cement to improve water permeability. The resultant pregnant solution by leaching is deposited into a pregnant solution pond and is then delivered to a CIC module comprising of a series of activated carbon adsorption columns.

Gold from the pregnant solution is absorbed, forming a barren solution, which is then fed back into the stockpile for spraying. The loaded carbon is either burned or sent to an desoption-electrowinning system to retrieve the gold.

HZE provides comprehensive services, such as designing material piles from hundreds of tons to tens of thousands, constructing and loading of leaching and adsorption systems, commissioning and trial production, decommissioning and further process treatment and operations training. Additionally, our technicians guide the process on-site and ensure full service guarantees.
