The roots blower, also known as roots type supercharger, is a positive displacement blower. The air volume delivered is proportional to the rotation speed. Roots blowers come in bi-lobe and tri-lobe models, and the one that we offer is the tri-lobe series. In the case of a tri-lobe machine, the air will have less pulse compared with a bi-lobe one, so noise and vibration abatement is better.

The two rotors of the tri-lobe machine make three intake and exhaust cycles per revolution. Mounted on two parallel shafts, the two tri-lobe rotors maintain a very small clearance between themselves. The clearance is also small between the rotors and the inner wall of oval housing, as well as between the rotors and the front and rear covers. Driven by timing gears, the rotors deliver a fixed volume of air from inlet to outlet, along the inner wall of housing.

Our roots blower is characterized by structural simplicity, stable performance, and adaptability to wide range of applications. It is not necessary to lubricate the inner chamber.
