1. Methomyl was introduced in 1966 as a broad spectrum insecticide. Also, it is used as an acaricide to control ticks and spiders. This product is ideal for foliar treatment of vegetables, fruit, field crops, cotton, commercial ornamentals, and in and around poultry houses and dairies. It also functions as fly bait.

2. Methomyl is effective in two ways.
1) As a "contact insecticide", this product kills target insects upon direct contact.
2) As a "systemic insecticide", it causes overall systemic poisoning in target insects, after it is absorbed and transported throughout the pests that feed on treated plants.

3. This product is capable of being absorbed by plants without being phytotoxic or harmful to the plant.

Applications
1. Methomyl is used in controlling a wide range of insects particularly including Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Homoptera, Diptera and Coleoptera.

2. It is also useful against spider mites in fruit, vines, olives, hops, vegetables, ornamentals, field crops, cucurbits, flax, cotton, tobacco, soya beans, etc.

3. In addition, this product is effective for control of flies in animal and poultry houses and dairies.
