Bromacil is an organic compound with the chemical formula C9H13BrN2O2, commercially available as an agricultural herbicide.

Function
1. This agricultural chemical is used for brush control and non-cropland areas. It works by interfering with photosynthesis by entering the plant through the root zone and moving throughout the plant.
2. Bromacil is one of a group of compounds called substituted uracils. These materials are broad spectrum herbicides used for nonselective weed and brush control on non-croplands, as well as for selective weed control on a limited number of crops, such as citrus fruit and pineapple. The chemical for farming use is also found to be excellent at controlling perennial grasses.

Uses and Dosage
Crop Target Rate of Use Application
Non crop area Annual weed 6000-18750 g/ha. Spray
Citrus field Annual weed 2000-4000 g/ha.
Pineapple field Annual weed 2250-6900 g/ha.

Precautions

1. First Aid
If accidental poisoning happens, please wash the stomach with tannic acid or active carbon injectable suspension, and then send to see doctor.

2. Eye Protection
Safety glasses with side-shields

3. Hand Protection
PVC or other plastic material gloves

4. Skin and Body Protection
Usual safety precautions while handling the chemical for farming use will provide adequate protection against this potential effect.

5. Respiratory Protection
Utilize breathing apparatus only if aerosol or dust is formed.

6. Hygiene Measures
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Note
1. Care should be exercised when spraying Bromacil on non-target plants, because it will also stop the photosynthesis of adjacent plants therefore killing them.
2. This brush control herbicide should never be used in residential or recreation areas for risk of exposure.
3. It should be stored in a cool, dry place. After any handling, a thorough hand-washing is advised.
