General Description
A globe valve is a type ofindustrial valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. Different form the ball valve, it is often used for applications requiring throttling and frequent operation. The plug of this flow control device is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action. Typically, an automated globe valve employs a smooth stem rather than threaded and are opened and closed by an actuator assembly.
