Gabions are rectangular containers fabricated from double twisted hexagonal wire mesh. The gabions are filled with stones and other materials that allow water to pass through them. They are perfect for retaining walls and other structures that require drainage assistance. Our gabions and mattresses are often found in riverbank protection, weirs and channel lining installations.
Gabions are divided into cells with diaphragms (usually spaced at 1 meter or 3’ intervals), designed to reinforce the structure. The mesh (except for the diaphragms) is reinforced on all edges with wires of a larger diameter to strengthen the gabions and facilitate easy assembly and installation.

Tolerances
The hexagonal, double-twisted wire mesh opening shall not exceed ±10% of the nominal dimension.
