Rigid couplings provide a rigid joint allowing no linear movement and angular movement. The allowable pipe end separation must be considered when installing.
The coupling housing is designed to grip the bottom of the groove tightly while the nuts are tightened. Unique tooth on key section can prevent the axial movement and spinning to increase the rigidity of the joint.
