  • Anchoring casing bits with hard metal inserts provide significantly stronger impact rock-breaking capability compared with welded carbide plate bits, resulting in faster penetration rates and higher drilling efficiency.
  • The extra-long round thread design effectively prevents separation between the casing bit and casing pipe as drilling depth increases. In addition, round threads offer superior torsional strength compared with square threads and similar thread forms.
Typical Applications

Foundation pits, ground reinforcement, slope stabilization, tunnel pipe roofing, and other anchoring support works.

Details

In applications such as ground reinforcement and slope stabilization, the formations are generally loose or soft. Therefore, pointed button inserts are used on anchoring casing bits to achieve faster penetration rates and improved drilling efficiency.

The casing bit serves two primary functions. First, it guides the drilling direction of the casing and the drilling tool system. Second, it performs reaming, allowing the casing pipe to follow smoothly into the borehole.

Both are critical components. While the drilling rod bit directly engages the main rock-breaking face, the auxiliary rock-breaking capability of the casing bit should not be underestimated. An improperly selected casing bit can significantly reduce overall drilling efficiency and may even prevent the entire system from advancing.
