This activated alumina powder is an alumina transient phase, with its principal crystalline phase being ρ-Al2O3, and main ingredient being Al2O3. ρ-Al2O3 is prepared by aluminum hydroxide rapid dehydration through flash roasting and rapid cooling, and in general, its specific surface area is above 200m2/g. This ensures it has an excellent activity rate and water absorbing ability, as well as a certain degree of hydration reactivity.

Application

This activated alumina powder is capable of replacing pure calcium aluminate cement that is often used as the bonding agent of upscale amorphous refractory casting industries. It also replaces silica powders and ultrafine alumina powders used for adhesive and bonding agents in upscale corundum products.
It can be used as an absorbent, water absorbent, activated alumina, and catalyst support in petrochemical industries, medical industries, hygienic industries and more.
