The screw conveyor or auger conveyor is mainly comprised of the motor, gear reducer, auger, and housing. The auger is a rotating, chain-driven screw blade that is powered by a motor via a speed reducer. As the screw blade (also known as a flighting) rotates, it pushes materials forward in the trough.
