O-Ring Loaded Seal, Saw-Toothed Shape
The saw-toothed o-ring loaded seal is just that: a non-standard o-ring bonded to a PTFE-filled seal of a saw-toothed shape in this case. This type of hydraulic seal usually fits around a piston or rod in a single-acting hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, though it is also used for rotary and swiveling applications. In both cases, the single-acting seal enables a low-friction, stick-slip-free movement. When shaft diameter falls below 100mm, the open-groove seal is recommended over closed-groove ones.
