Referred also as permalloy, the 1J85 alloy is a high-density (8.75g/cm³) nickel-iron-molybdenum soft magnetic alloy. It features exceptional initial and maximum magnetic permeabilities, high saturation magnetic induction, and low coercivity. This metal alloy is effective in minimizing hysteresis loss, eddy current loss, and magnetostriction in low-intensity magnetic fields, making it highly responsive to weak signals. The austenitic nature of this type of soft magnetic alloy shows its structural and functional qualities.

Physical Properties Melting point: 1395℃~1425℃
Hardness: 130HB~240HB
Electrical resistivity: 0.56μΩ•m
Thermal expansion coefficient: 0.5x10-6/℃

Applications Permalloy is key in the electronics and information technology industry. Its precise sensitivity aligns perfectly with the stringent demands of specialized devices. This alloy is widely used to manufacture high-performance, low and high-frequency transformers, common mode chokes, and precision current transformers. These applications greatly benefit from the metal alloy’s superior capability to manage and enhance delicate electronic signals, ensuring high accuracy and reliability in electronic systems.
