The iconic symbol of the City, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower opened with a new Light & Sound display on May 2014. Designed by Shanghai Citelum Lighting Design who did the Eiffel Tower’s Light & Sound Show, all the lightings on the Tower are choreographed with music and broadcast on the hour from 6 pm to 10 pm every night. StrongLED provided the technical expertise and control system solution which included developing and implemented a Ring Topology Fibre Optics Network linking over 150,000 lighting points and a video screen and dual active back-up system to ensure high performance and reliability.
