Industrial Crystallization Equipment

The DTB crystallizer is a high-efficiency crystallization system designed for evaporative crystallization from supersaturated solutions. It is suitable for processes with vacuum cooling and moderate evaporation rates and is widely used in chemical processing, metal smelting, acid recovery from steel pickling, and desulfurization wastewater treatment in power plants.

DBT crystallizers are typically PLC-controlled to precisely regulate material temperature, ensuring consistent nucleation and crystal growth. At the core of the DTB design is a vertical axial-flow circulation pump, characterized by large flow rates, low head, low speed, and a large-diameter impeller. The design and performance of this pump are critical in determining the final crystal size distribution. DTB crystallizers can be fully customized based on specific process and material requirements.

A DTB crystallizer, or draft tube baffle crystallizer, is a type of internal circulation crystallizer that continuously recirculates a crystal slurry through a draft tube and baffle system, enhancing crystallization efficiency and promoting the formation of high-quality, uniform crystals.

While DTB crystallizers are highly efficient, they are not ideal for rapid crystallization, very large crystal formation, or materials with unfavorable sedimentation behavior (either too fast or too slow). They are best used in processes requiring controlled growth and uniform crystal size.

DTB crystallizers feature an internal draft tube and baffle that create strong internal circulation with minimal external flow. This ensures uniform supersaturation, encourages steady crystal growth, and supports the formation of larger, well-defined crystals. Compared to other types, they offer lower energy consumption, but are more sensitive to process fluctuations.
