Both materials are known for their exceptional tensile strength, but there are key differences in their performance. UHMWPE webbing (Dyneema) offers higher strength and lower weight compared to aramid webbing, making it a great option for applications where maximum load capacity is required. However, UHMWPE cannot withstand temperatures above 120°C, whereas aramid webbing maintains its structural integrity under extreme heat. If your webbing needs to perform in high-temperature environments, aramid webbing is the better choice. For applications where heat resistance is not a primary concern, UHMWPE webbing provides higher strength at a lower cost.

The most popular widths are 2 inches (50mm), 1.75 inches (45mm), and 1.5 inches (38mm). However, there are various thickness options as well. Since there are many types of aramid webbing, producing every variation at all times is challenging. We may have similar products available as samples, but for specific sizes, production will be scheduled based on your order requirements.
Heat resistance varies depending on the weave structure and thickness. Thicker aramid webbing provides better thermal protection than thinner aramid fabrics. For example, a 2mm thick Kevlar webbing has higher heat resistance than 0.58mm aramid fabric (420gsm). In general, Kevlar and aramid products have a safe working temperature of up to 260°C (500°F) and a temporary exposure limit of 320°C (600°F).
