The ceramic fibre insulation, also called aluminum silicate wool, has such two types as ordinary ceramic wool and environmental ceramic wool. It is made from the raw materials as flint. After melting at a cupola or other type kiln, the flint is processed to be inorganic fibers by the high-speed centrifugal equipment. At last, ceramic wool is finished by different molding processes upon the requirements of customers. With the features of thermal insulation, heat preservation, sound absorption, and corrosion resistance, the ceramic fibre is widely used in the insulation system of bulkheads and decks. We will provide you bespoke insulation solutions, according to your ship type, required fire class, and actual application.

The marine insulation in conformity with the amended SOLAS, has passed the tests of different classes of fireproof partitions for decks and bulkheads. Additionally, it has been approved by the Classification Societies including CSS, ABS, and DNV. Marine aluminum silicate wool and products from it are in conformity with CB/T3691-1998.
