5A molecular sieves are a calcic type A aluminosilicate crystal that are used to adsorb molecules with a critical diameter less than 5 Å, and a molecular formula of Ca4.5•Na3[•(AlO2)12•(SiO2)12.]XH2O.

Application
  • The separation of n-alkanes and isoalkanes.
  • The drying and refining of air, petroleum, natural gas, and other industrial gas.
  • Separation of O2 and N2.
  • PSA hydrogen production and hydrogen purification.

Features
5A molecular sieves can adsorb any molecule whose diameter is less than its pore diameter, and is usually referred to as a calcic molecular sieve. Not only does it have all the functions of a 3A and 4A molecular sieve, it can also adsorb C3-C4 n-alkanes, chloroethane, bromoethane, butanol and others. It can also be used for the separation of n-alkanes and isoalkane, PSA separation, and the co-adsorption of H2O and CO2.
