Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, as long as it met the following conditions. First, the equipment must be able to withstand the adhesive’s melting temperature—PUR adhesives, for example, require systems that reach over 200°C. The glue path must also be thoroughly cleaned between adhesive changes to avoid contamination. Certain high-viscosity adhesives require component replacements, such as the gear pump, to ensure smooth flow.
Preheating typically takes 30 to 60 minutes from room temperature, depending on the equipment’s power and the surrounding environment. Machines with insulation or in a standby mode can reduce the preheating time to less than 10 minutes.
We utilize a combination of servo-controlled metering pumps, adjustable blade gaps, and optional online thickness detectors. These allow glue volume control within ±0.5% accuracy and blade adjustments as fine as 0.01 mm. Real-time feedback from thickness sensors also maintains consistent coating results throughout production.
Yes, intermittent coating is supported. This is managed via PLC system, which controls the glue valve's start and stop timing. Combined with conveyor belt positioning signals, it allows precise break lengths with minimum intervals as short as 1 mm.
Nozzles have independent heating systems to prevent glue from solidifying. To prevent nozzle blockage, flush the system with cleaning glue or solvent after each shutdown. We also recommend using dustproof covers during idle periods and selecting anti-drip nozzles for additional prevention.
