Due to the unique reverse circulation structure, RC drill bits provide unmatched advantages in geological sampling accuracy and borehole stability. Once an RC drill bit is selected, it must operate within a complete reverse circulation drilling system. RC drill bits are only compatible with dedicated RC hammers designed for reverse circulation applications.
Selection is typically based on the following information:
- Standard RC hammer model and required drill bit diameter
- Drill bit drawings or physical samples for precise matching
- Required drill bit diameter together with formation conditions and drilling depth, allowing proper matching of RC hammer and drill bit combinations
