The AC60 frequency inverter can be used on pump jack to achieve the following effect:

1. By the use of frequency control technology, the motor speed and the load of pump jack are matched.

2. The frequency inverter is capable of the dynamic adjustment of the pumping stroke frequency. As the extraction goes deeper, the oil quantity decreases, which is insufficient to fully fill the pump. So, the pump efficiency declines. When oil supply is less than the pump displacement, there will be empty pump and liquid hammering. The low pump efficiency will result in the drop of motor speed. Improving fullness not only saves energy but also increases oil production.

3. The frequency inverter is also capable of the dynamic adjustment of the speed of up and down stroke. The speed of down stroke is properly lowered to improve the fullness in the pump. While the speed of up stroke is properly increased to reduce the leakage factor in the lifting. In this way, the pump jack works in the best running condition, and the production of crude oil per unit time increases.

4. To solve the problem of large starting torque, low-load in operation and large shock current, the number of pole pairs of the motor, or the reduction ratio, has to increase to enlarge the output torque. The frequency inverter runs normally at 80-90HZ. This also helps to reduce the energy in the state of power generation, and reduce pumping voltage.

5. The capacity of DC filter capacitor increases. Reducing braking resistor value will improve the power consumption capability of the braking system. Directly using regenerative braking will also reduce energy loss. The frequency increases at power generation.
