Glue rolls are integral components in the single facer section of a corrugating machine. Their function is to apply starch adhesive precisely onto the flute tips of the corrugated medium, allowing the linerboard to bond securely and form a stable board structure during production. To ensure accurate adhesive transfer and long-term stability, each roll undergoes a complete manufacturing process that includes rough machining, heat treatment, CNC grinding, knurling, dynamic balancing, and hard chrome plating. This results in a smooth, wear-resistant surface that supports even glue distribution and consistent operation at high speeds. Designed for both standard and high-speed lines, these glue rolls help maintain optimal bonding quality, reduce adhesive waste, and minimize maintenance interruptions during continuous production.
- Manufactured through a precise multi-step process including rough machining, tempering, CNC grinding, knurling, dynamic balancing, and chrome plating to ensure surface quality and long-term performance.
- The engraving cell patterns feature pyramidal and hexagonal cells, offering enhanced durability and consistent adhesive transfer.
- Glue rolls can be custom manufactured to fit all types of single facer machines and gluing units, ensuring full compatibility across different corrugated production setups.
