Digital Ceramic Printing on Enamel Steel

Digital printing of enamel glazes on metal surface

The digital ceramic printing machine for enamel steel is a high-performance industrial device that merges digital inkjet printing technology with high-temperature sintering. It is designed specifically for direct printing of enamel glaze patterns onto steel. Through precision printheads, specially formulated enamel glaze inks are sprayed directly onto the metal surface. This is followed by high-temperature sintering (800-950℃) to fuse the glaze with the metal base, creating a permanent, high-durability decorative or functional coating. This technology overcomes the limitations of traditional enamel processes, supporting complex designs, gradient colors, and small-batch customization, making it ideal for applications in home appliances, architecture, industrial equipment, and art installations.

Main Features
  • High-Precision Digital Inkjet System
    1. Ultra-Fine Printhead Technology: Utilizes industrial-grade piezoelectric printheads (e.g., Seiko, Konica) with a minimum droplet size of 10-25 picoliters, achieving up to 1200×1200 dpi resolution. This ensures micron-level lines and gradient effects.
    2. Multi-Channel Printing: Supports CMYK white ink transparent glaze for multilayer printing. Perfect for base color coverage (like white ink undercoat) and surface gloss adjustment.
  • Special Enamel Glaze and Sintering Process
    1. High-Temperature Resistant Glaze Inks: Composed of glass powder, metal oxides, and inorganic pigments. After sintering, it forms a glass-like coating with Mohs hardness ≥6, offering resistance to acids, alkalis, and abrasion.
    2. Intelligent Sintering Curve: Automatically adjusts the heating rate, peak temperature, and holding time based on substrate thickness and glaze formulation. This ensures optimal bonding between the glaze layer and metal while preventing cracks through gradient temperature control.
Applications
  • Home Appliances: Stovetops, oven panels, microwave enclosures
  • Architecture: Facades, decorative panels, signage
  • Industrial Equipment: Control panels, protective covers
  • Art Installations: Metal sculptures, decorative elements
