The so-called split-phase capacitor is rather a misleading term. There are few capacitor manufacturers that call their products that way. This low voltage capacitor is designed specifically for use on split-phase motors.

Because the split phase motor has both a run winding and a start winding, the split-phase capacitor actually combines a run capacitor and a start capacitor in one package. The start capacitor is of course connected to the start winding, and the run capacitor, to the run winding of the split-phase motor.

Typically used in a low voltage power system, this self-healing capacitor uses polypropylene film as the dielectric which is metallized on both sides with conductive metals. Built to GB/T12747.1-2004 and IEC60831-1: 1996 standards, the split-phase capacitor is mainly used in low-voltage power grid or transformer to minimize power loss, improve power factor rating and deliver more power to do real work in the electrical circuit.

Main Features
1. Adapts to environments where there is high temperature or abrupt change in voltage.
2. Built in bleeder resistor and protective feature cut off power supply when high pressure inside capacitor builds up or entire electrical system is out of whack.
3. Dielectric breakdown tests prove that the terminals of our capacitor can withstand a voltage far higher than 2.15Un for 10 seconds. The instantaneous breakdown voltage is above 3.5Un.
4. The aluminum case of the split-phase capacitor is a deep-drawn part. The wound core is dipped in pure castor oil which poses no threat to the environment.
5. Dissipates heat quickly. Durable and long-lasting.

7. Current Limit: The capacitor is able to run properly at 1.3 times rated current. The maximum allowable current is 1.43 times rated current.
8. Self-Discharging. Assume the power supply voltage is 2 Un. 3 minutes after the power supply is cut off, the remaining voltage is less than 50v.
9. Winding connection: Delta, Y, YN (with a neutral lead), etc.
10. Standard compliance: GB/T12747.1-2004;IEC60831-1:1996
